One of "those" days

Well,” said Pooh, “what I like best — ” and then he had to stop and think. Because although eating honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn’t know what it was called. A.A. Milne

"In an all boys school, it was fun to dye my hair pink, and if someone tried to beat me up, instead of fighting back, I'd say, 'If you come any closer, I'm gonna give you a kiss.' "

One week down, and nine more weeks of stress to go through.
So how was everyone's first few days of school? How was Australia Day? Big Day Out? Damn, how I wished I could have went to that.

School seems so serious now, everyone is so quiet and focused in class, it feels like I'm the only one who hasn't reached this new level of "maturity". Or maybe it's awkward because it's just the first few days of school .. yeah maybe it is.
I think I've had a slack start to the school year, in S&E I always have an urge to sleep, and I can't concentrate very well in Science either. Apart from that, I'm so glad I at least have Nga, Duyen & Thanh in my homeclass.

I met Bec today, at maths school. I'm not going back this year but I went today to just check it out. It's moved to Pennington and it was good fun with Bec catching up with Chau-anne! Now that my Saturday mornings are free I might take up some sport at school.

Year 12 at Chinese School, we have a different teacher this year. We've had the same teacher for 3 years, I miss her and those bludgy lessons day. This teacher is nice, but .. somewhat intimidating. For the first time in 4 years, I think I'm going to do some Chinese homework this week.

I don't know what to do for work experience, any suggestions? :/
& What are you other Year 10's planning on doing this year for work exp. ?

This was from a few weeks ago so yes, I'm a bit late here.

7 THINGS ABOUT A HELENKIM :)

1. I've never ever eaten a Big Mac before.
2. Right now I'm having something opposite to an adrenaline rush, everything feels slow.
3. I've been sick for two months, and its still going.
4. Exactly 1 week from today is my birthday!
5. At times, I believe knowing a lot about a person is not considered stalking. You just have a good memory, /shifty eyes.
6. I eat quite a lot. Like .. heaps at times. Especially when it comes to cake.
7. I have a deal with my cousin to not drink soft drink until end of this year, doubt it would last though.

Wells, I tag .. ah screw it. This thing is getting old anyways right?
But then again, nah I havent seen these guys done it yet - Vivian, Jaymee, Wilson, Julie, and Jody!

Sorry, I'm not from around here
Monday, January 25, 2010 || 10:08 PM

I supposed I can't run away from blogging about my trip anymore, ey?
But I don't plan on making this post very long so stay put! :-)

New Zealand, so how was it? I guess it was alright, but personally, I would've loved to spend those 16 days in Sydney instead. I also gained like another 2-3 kgs from it too, /shame. I want to confirm one thing about it though, the air, the scenery, the wilderness, were all simply divine. Also, it's not much of a multi-cultural country. Not as much as Australia at least. Maoris/Kiwis/Islanders pretty much dominated the land. But hey, I think found quite a few Maori guys pretty damn hot. (Sushi restaurants/stores were everywhere aswell!)

The accent! As soon as I stepped off the plane, everyone working in the airport had a NZ accent! It's exactly like the beached as whale accent, but fortunately it was only in the airport where this had occurred the most. And so, Eric - there were no talking whales there as well.

The reason I couldn't go on the computer much then, was because most of the time, Dota, or Warcraft or whatever was on the screen. But I'm not so much of a computer addict these days so it wasn't that bad! But throughout that time I became a hardcore Tekken addict on PSP, damn boy, it is so fun. 10 hit combos ftw. Lili is hot, hehe. Blame this on all 6 of my cousins there, they were all guys too. Shopping was lonely, /sigh.

Watched Alvin & the Chipmunks 2 on the world's biggest cinema screen!

Auckland City is quite nice, wells nicer than Adelaide that's for sure. So many nice international chain stores and everything. I think Australia is lame for being the only one with Burger King as Hungry Jacks. In the city, there's this gallery-type place and everything under that one roof was from Chanel, Dior, Guess, LV, and etc!

I think their Santa kinda owns Rundle's Santa ..

Hrms, what did I do over there?
There was this place called Rotorua and it has many volcanic .. stuff. There I rode on a gondola, luge, and a sky swing at Skyline Skyrides; owned my cousin's ass in a Swoop race, and hung on to the edge riding NZ's fastest jetski at Agroventures; and chilled in a mudbath/spa at Hells Gate & Wai Ora Spa.

In Auckland, I wanted to jump off Sky Tower which was almost a 200m jump but I never got the chance to, plus it's pretty expensive- around $200 to jump. Rainbows End's trip was fun too, which I had posted about in the previous blog. Devonport which is a island 15 minutes away from Auckland City was another pretty place, it consisted of many vintage and quirky stores & snuggly little cafes.

This was a war-hideout in Devonport, shit scary.

I also met many children, :D

I have realised, Adl's snow arena has n0ob-ass rental skis.
Try NZ's rental skis, they're like 10 times thinner. T__T

Andy was my favourite kid there! Unfortunately, there arent any photos of him in this post :( When we first came, he ran away crying (am I that scary?) but by the morning I left, he actually let me give him a farewell hug. Damn I miss him, by the time I see him next, hopefully he'll be a .. hot young bloke aye :-)

I think that pretty much covers everything, yes? :D
P.S - The souvenirs were too expensive for me to buy for everyone.
Considering everyone is a lot of people ..

Escape.
Saturday, January 9, 2010 || 4:30 PM

Happy 15th Birthday Jody!

So in my previous blog, I sorta made it look like I wouldn't blog again until I come back to Adelaide but since I can't resist it, I'm going to blog anyways.

Time here: 7:01 PM.
Back home it would be only approx 4:30 .. ? I think.
Weather: Nice, breezy and cool. In the 20s.
Heard that Adelaide's going through quite a heatwave atm. You guys got owned. Heh.

So far, I haven't done that much I guess. I really prefer Adl over Auckland though. Didn't think I would be missing Adelaide this much .. but surprisingly I really mean it when I say, "I MISS ADL".

Day before:
-Explored Auckland City
-They have pretty awesome stores; Louis Vuitton, Guess, etc.
-Drank Starbucks (god it was nice), it's Burger King over here too, their apple pies at Maccas is only $2; their prices haven't changed and they still have frozen mini coke!

Yesterday:
- Went to Rainbow's End, biggest theme park over here. FUN.
-Filmed throughout this whole ride, lols. Post later :-)

Today
- Stuffed myself overload with Yum Cha. Gosh, even took take away.

Tomorrow
OFF TO ROTORUA
- Bungy Jumping (maybe)
- All those adrelaine rushing stuff you'd do here, jet boats etc
- ZORB ball (maybe)
- Mud Spa!

Off to one of my long ass showers now, cause it seems like guys over here are the same.
Kicking me off for Dota crap. Ffs. Nights!

Tuesday, January 5, 2010 || 11:49 PM

Laaaaaaaaduhs!

In two weeks, I'm gonna come back to Adelaide with that accent. Want some chups bro?! Lol, just practicing the accent for tomorrow! :D

Anyways, I haven't really that many people but tomorrow I'm heading off on a plane to New Zealand! Lol, that's right. Pretty random isn't it?
But it would be nice, for family and shizzzzz.
Lets add mud spas, and jumping off towers (hopefully) to that as well.

Okay, so ums I like totally won't miss everyone you know? Especially when my mum's not letting my bring my laptop there so that means no communication with you Adelaide peeps if I can't use my cousin's net for two weeks. But yeah, won't miss anyone at all. :'D
So you guys have fun and don't waste the remainder of the holidays missing people!
Go out there and get some sun and chups bro!

That previous paragraph was complete sarcasm, minus the laptop & communication part unfortunately.

I'll make sure to take heaps of photos and blog all about it when I come back! So until then, byebye, goodnights, sweet dreams, take care, stay safe, always wear a helmet when riding your bikes, don't jwalk /cough, luuuuuurb yous!

And yes, I'll miss you guys as well :-(

Don't drink and drive, you might spill the drink.

Today was a good day!

Dad took me to the Adelaide Technical Camera Service place, the official repair place in Adelaide for Nikon Cameras and the Jap guy working there said I could pick up the camera tomorrow afternoon. Yay, that means that I use the camera for the remainder of the holidays. And because we're smart cookies & kept all receipts/warranty documents, the repair is going to be for free. $___$
But note - going to be extra careful at the beach now with the camera.

I needed to buy my cousin, MearLear a present for her 16th birthday as well since I won't be here for it, so I got my dad to take us to MyChemist along King Williams where they have genuine perfume at really good prices, but it changed into a Vitamin Warehouse?! Rage. Since stocktake sales are still on, I thought Myers would have pretty nice prices with some perfumes . Struggled making a choice between the Ralph Lauren gift set, and the CK IN2U for her. But seeing as the RL perfume came in a boxset and everything, we decided to get that one instead. She better not be reading this! Cause it's going to be a surprise :)

Dad: Hey, you know what's the best perfume brand in the world?
Me: No? O_O
Dad: Chanel!
Me: Lol, they have Chanel here.
goes check.
Lady: $185 for this one (the No.5 bottle, it smells so damn good)
Dad: If you want, I can get it for your birthday.
Me: SERIOUS? O______O ...

We still had heaps of time left on the parking ticket and my brother, him and I haven't gone shopping for a while so we decided to wonder around.

Hype -
There were these really nice Lacoste hi-tops for $100 but they only had size 5US left, I fitted. It was a bit tight though so :/
And also spotted a nice pair of tigers, low ones, for my brother. But they only had size 4US left, and he's a size 5. Only $80 too! Pretty good price for tigers :-O

Dad was really getting into it at this point and wanted to find us shoes. Lols.

L.A.X -
Omfg, spotted these gorgeous, gorgeous, uber cute pair of Reeboks! 50% off too. And yes! They had my size. $80 bieeeeetches. :)
Lol, and my brother ended up did buying a pair of tigers, hi top ones though. They're alright. $120-ish. Discounted of course. I fit them as well, a bit tight though. But when he grows out of them, I can wear them since they're unisex. ;D

So my dad bought us all this .. and wouldn't shout me the disc holder at OfficeWorks for $5 ..
And you can't say we're spoiled! He hasn't bought us anything for ages and we don't do Christmas :(

Happy 16th Birthday mention to Vee as well today!
